After a nice lazy morning, some rainy sprinkles and some fancy hairstyling by mommy, we took advantage of a break in the clouds to head out and see what the storm waves left behind.
Our shell collections grew tenfold
And we met some new bird friends.. Mommy's favorite was a little guy that runs and runs on quick, tiny legs and reminded me of the quail in Phoenix.
We entirely lucked out and ended up with a nice stretch of sunshine which allowed us to have some midday pool time and a hotdog cookout for lunch. This is the sillies feeding Ellie skittles for doing tricks (like some kind of ocean animal show!)
And, what's become a trend, aurie konks out after we make our way back up after our afternoon of swimming. This time, lia and mommy joined in! It was wonderful.. A nice dinner, and a little walk again on the beach made for a nice evening. A trip to the local Shake Shop was a tasty finish. Let's keep fingers crossed that the rain comes in the night so we can have a beach day tomorrow!
