Christmas continued with a visit to Grandma and Grandpap's, and just enough room in the car to return with all of our surprises (admittedly, suggested by mommy, but whoa those American girl cars were big!)
These lucky girls were left surprises by Auntie Jen and Uncle Mike as well
Daddy enjoyed some local favorites...
New Year's Eve- has seemed to be a tradition now, at a local Chinese restaurant, and on the way home, the girls got to pick anything they wanted out of the grocery store's bakery window.. Aurie's choice- a little chocolate mug- complete with handle- filled with cream.
We had a lovely dinner at Aunt Robbie's and got to visit cousins..
First night home with our new beds...
My angel baby... sweet enough to take your breath away...
Out for a much needed haircut- just like our new dolly's...
One of Ellie's gifts from Santa, turned her into a sewing maniac... At it for hours, days in a row!
Friday lunch together...
A little Sunday afternoon project...
We had a friend's cow give birth to a new calf and were invited over to take a look.
Ellie's very non Colts red dress standing out in her picture to celebrate having earned a SWAG pencil :) So proud of her! (We have earned a few between her and Lia so far this year.. I really am proud of them both.)
And then...there was Hot Skates. I cannot believe how enthusiastic these girls were over our visit there. Ellie had gone to a party in the summer, and she had enjoyed it somewhat. Since then, it's been something that Lia and Aurie were curious about, and finding ourselves on a Monday holiday afternoon on our own, we decided to give it a go. They were maniacs! I was so pleased- after having spent a ton to get in on this special holiday event, I was worried they'd be done with the skating part all too soon. No way! Aurie skated til the poor thing was dragging..and after being offered to go take a break, she said, "No, that's ok mommy...I'm just tired!" And still, she kept going! It was so much fun. What a great spot now for fun and exercise!
Avon High School Winter Cheer Camp 2015
Ellie and Lia both participated last year, but Ellie had hurt her foot and couldn't cheer at the basketball game, which is what they're working towards. They had a great time this year, with their friends. They practiced for hour and a half sessions during the week and cheered at the Saturday evening game. Perfect timing, since Daddy just came home that day from his trip!
(Aurie thinks she's a cheerleader too)
Enjoying some sweet treats from the concession stand!
