Lia decided she must look nice for her class Christmas celebration today, so though it took some dealing with a different pair of tights than she wanted, she emerged, cute as a button this morning. She surprised me by even asking for pigtails to complete the look (and kept them in!). In my eyes, she looked so tiny, and sweet. With all that goes on in our house, it's not often I have the chance to pause and just soak her in and appreciate her age, a sweet six year old. We made treats for her class- Snowman Soup, which she helped to pack ("This is HARD work!"), that even had a tag with her picture on them. It was fun to hear the other kids open their stockings all around us and hear their surprise at it :)
And this little darling.. not to be outdone by her big sisters, she, too, had a performance this week for Christmas. Mommy had noticed an announcement about it at preschool, but to be honest, we were just going to let it by the wayside! Well, she was devastated the previous night, when she thought we missed it. So, we packed everyone up, and daddy hustled home from work, and we enjoyed this munchkin proudly showing us her "moves". (The week before, she was telling me they had learned a baby Jesus song, but one we knew. So I sang Silent Night, no. I forget how we chanced upon it, but it was actually Away in a Manger. So I sing a bit- "That's it! I know all the moves to that one!")
Love, love, love that I get to reuse, once more, our adorable white furry coat from Nana, and the so sweet polka dot corduroy skirt. She jumped right in with friends from her class beforehand..
Her "moves"… (and her reschool teacher, Miss Sara)
