A Mixed-Up Baseball, Birthdays and Easter Part 2

The cardinal lately that has decided he needs to attack his reflection which he thinks is another cardinal in our kitchen window… DAILY. (At least we think that's what's happening…)

Lia's birthday cake rainbow masterpiece

One of the party games we played…this one, moving Skittles from one plate to another by sucking them on at a time with a straw… hilarious!

Game #2…who can put the most Fruit Loops onto the piece of spaghetti in 30 seconds?

A good old bean bag toss…rainbow style

Lia opening gifts and trying on a pair of Mickey Ears...

Her big girl bike from Mommy and Daddy…training wheels to be removed...

Cutie Pie in her darling Easter hand-me-down dress…still as cute as the first time!

At our Easter Egg Hunt..

Daddy holdin all the loot...

Enjoying the carnival games...

And…the drop. It was pure craziness- the kids were like locusts. Poor Aurie, got nothing. It's a darn good thing we had such a nice time at the carnival first!

Easter morning…reading the note from the Easter Bunny which stipulated that each girl had to only take one of each type of prize, and leave the other two behind for their sisters. The best part was the 'P.S.' ending that said, Ï saw you peeking at me last night". The reaction was priceless… the evening before, we had been reading stories, when daddy called out that the Easter Bunny was in the backyard. They all dashed to the window, and sure enough, a big fat bunny was there. We thought it was funny that they immediately ran to their beds and said we had to stop stories to go to sleep so he didn't go away. But the gasp that went up at the 'P.S. I saw you peeking at me', was awesome!

Easter, Baseball and Birthdays!

I give up.. this set of the last month's craziness is all mixed up…and I can't seem to fix it and would like to just have this posted, so here it goes:
After the pretty Easter dresses came off, it was a fun day in play clothes…here, munching our special Easter cupcakes after dinner.

Lia's Birthday party last weekend at a local park

It was really sweet to see Lia with her friends… you can see the beaded necklaces we made here, and the rainbow (our theme) garland headpiece.

Softball has begun.. both Lia and Ellie have taken it on with gusto, much to Bill's delight...

My purty girl all dolled up for school one day :) I'm so proud when she looks so nice.

Lia's actual birthday, which fell on a Wednesday, our dance day, where we spend from after school until evening at the studio. That day, we scooted over to a special cupcake shop and picked up a set of her choice…S'Mores cupcakes and enjoyed them on the deck of the studio in the sunshine...

Again, Lia's actual birthday, which happened to be on the day her class comes to computers. So, without her knowing, mommy snuck her big (and much adored) panda to school with us (not easy!) and surprised her when she and her class came. She really was surprised! :)

Some baseball cuteness...

Love, love this Easter dress that Grandma had gotten for us years ago…Aurie adored it and proudly wore it to preschool this particular morning...

More softball…Ellie's first practice...

(Advantage to practice being at the park!)

This is just melt you sweetness so excited to tell me about something she had made at preschool that day. It makes me so relieved at times like this when I hear from her that she genuinely enjoys being there.

Two cute panda sisters…

More softball…Lia's practice

Out to the ballgame…a real one this time. Enjoying the first really warm day..on the lawn

Easter egg decorating this year involved a whirly contraption. The girls love coloring eggs..

And then, the day before Easter, mommy found an Easter Egg Hunt for us to attend, complete with helicopter egg drop. It turned out to also include a wonderful carnival with sweet games for the girls and prizes for all. It was so much fun.

Some funnies from our day… Aurie in the car home from hunt offering pre-sucked gobstopper to daddy.
Ellie sharing her eggs with Aurie in backseat, Aurie saying "yeah, you open 'dem, if d'ey're good, give 'me to me, if d'ey're bad, you keep 'em."We had to laugh!

Easter morning sweetness after mass at a new church… (not the barn- it was along the roadside on our way home where mommy begged daddy to stop for pictures ;))

Ellie's friend's roller skating party, playing Deal or no Deal, winning 100 tickets on the first try! She and mommy did a few laps around. She did pretty well for her first try. Boy did it bring back memories!

Lia, looking quite the part! :)
