Happy Mother's Day!

We decided, to take a trip over to a nearby zoo on Mother's Day morning. Ellie had known Mother's Day was coming, from activities at school, and asked earlier in the week, "So, what do you do anyway, for Mother's Day?"After explaining that we should do something fun together, they all thought 'chicken nuggets' would be perfect. (Ew.) Luckily, mommy had some ideas up her sleeve.. Ellie had went on a field trip last month, so it was referred to as 'Ellie's zoo', and we pass it every day on the way to school, so a visit has been in the coming.

(Aurie got a little nervous, as you can see, around the animals...right before this, a wandering peacock ruffled up its feathers when the girls went near, so she was on the edge when the baby ducks passed by ;))

Ok, so I loved the mice. 

Lunchtime...Aurie's all-cheese sandwich (she's obsessed with cheese- and eggs)

My heart melts all over again looking at the picture of this moment.

And so the day before, we went on a little adventure. With daddy out of town, mommy's Mother's Day present came via Fed Ex and unfortunately ended up at the depot. So, we took a little trip, and entertained the Fed Ex man for a while :)

And since we were heading in that direction anyway...twist mommy's arm...we ended up at Arizona Mills Mall.

And yes, Hagan Daas is right beside the carousel...how could you not like this place? ;)

So then on the car ride home... entirely wiped.

That night...we tried a big girl nightgown :)
