Sedona

We had an amazing time in Sedona this past weekend at our favorite spot in Oak Creek Canyon.

Our sleepyhead girls exploring the cabin's deck in the morning...

Off to breakfast...

Daddy and our friend Juergen who joined us for the weekend, in Phoenix from Germany...

Daddy took Jeurgen on a Pink Jeep Tour...

While the girls took an exciting ride on the free trolley bus back to our car from town...(Ellie while looking out the window says, "Mommy, look, it's daddy!" and I tell her, without looking, "No, Ellie, it's not daddy", with pink jeeps all over town. Next thing you know she's telling me that it's daddy's shirt, and then peek, and in fact, it is him! The whole bus of passengers thought that was quite funny.)

Pokin' around in town...

Playin' around in Jeurgen's cool rental...

And then, the reason we choose the spot we do...the creek. The girls went as crazy as I knew they would, and would have spent every waking minute there if we'd have let them.

At the fish farm... (not quite what I was expecting- they really wanted you to catch and eat them!) We had fun just feeding them :)

Good Times

Our summer has begun, and we've had fun at some parties lately. This is Lia and Ellie enjoying the bouncy house and pony rides at their babysitter's granddaughter's birthday celebration (what a celebration it was!). It took a little coaxing to get Lia into the bouncy house, but after a while, she was having a blast, and even ewnt down the water slide! Ellie just about jumped out of her skin when they walked the pony in, as you can imagine. The first ride had me by her side, but she gained confidence and wanted to ride "like a big girl" all by herself the second. What a big girl!

"Princesses" have been big at our house recently, and Ellie loves to don her fancy skirt, pretty heels (which she clips around in easily!) and her flowers and dance around. She just got a new "princess" outfit, and has helps Lia get into this "old one" now. It's really cute.
