A bit out of order, but this is the latest and greatest...last night, dance class began for the year, with one additional Gawryk girl attending... well, kind of. We'll see how it goes next week. I kinda don't care, cause I get to soak in all her cuteness in tights and a tutu at least :) Ellie is now in a proper class, which is taught by the owner and is longer. Lia bounded into her class with no issue at all. It was this cupcake that had spoken about it for weeks, but when it came down to it, chickened out. Mommy attended with her (thankfully, for the understanding and patience of the teachers), and she was interested, doing most of it, either between my legs, or holding my hand.
My piglet ballerina with animal crackers in her mouth for the shot... we had a good laugh about that.
A convenient pink wall in the waiting room provided a great backdrop. Ellie dictated a "pose, as you can see Aurie looking up...what am I supposed to do?
Out to lunch downtown with daddy one workday :)
Ellie's 7th birthday arrived, with presents from afar. Grandma started our new trend with dolls...
I had a wonderful time, as usual, putting together a collage of photos to celebrate my first baby girl. Hmm...quite a trend of pink :)
Another fun package that arrived, from Uncle Jeff and Miss Tracy. What a lucky girl!
Our birthday itself was rather low key, after celebrating along with a neighbor the day before, watching a movie outside in the backyard until way past our bedtimes. On her special day, Ellie chose to go to Build a Bear from mommy and dadd's present, and went over to our friends' house for dinner. They helped us sing and eat some yummy cake...My Little Pony was the choice this year- started a little ways back with presents on that theme from Nana when she visited, and culminated with our rainbow cake :)
Ellie, working on one of her presents- 'fake' whipped cream to decorate chocolates and little cakes.
This was the best fun we've had since Florida.. how surprised were we to find a beach only three hours away! Thanks to friends who joined us, we found our new favorite somewhat nearby getaway :) It was so much fun, and so relaxing. Just awesome.
Daddy thinks he's so funny... (only after I made him pose again and again to get the water int he background! :))
I know- a bum shot...but it's such a cute one :)
Caught- red-handed! Pretty hard to be mad at her when she looks so dreamy but off the bed she went!
The girls decided they wanted to attend a Back to School Ball at school, which involved a cupcake truck (twist my arm!), so off we went, with a smart daddy staying home ;) We began with our treats, but then went into the gym to check out the DJ. Well that was the last we saw of Lia, who bounded off looking for friends. Next thing I know, there she is dancing and posing up in the bleachers, having an absolute blast. Wonder if it's an indicator of the future party girl in our group...
Aurie is working on being a real big girl... :) So far, so good!
