Halloween Fun

Halloween Night...moments before the dash, just after getting layered up- long underwear and all- (note the I'm-smiling-but-im-really-not-happy look on Ellie's face :( Also note the "warm" ladybug version...

If you know me, you know these are incredibly simplistic for my pumpkins but my tools got lost in the move, and it was a get-er-done moment. Lia's is neat, below- she drew a face on paper for me, and I copied it. (It's a panda)

We were excited to catch up with Ellie's bff down the street and together with yet another girl their age, the squeals could be heard across the neighborhood :) It was a blast, thought we missed daddy terribly!
Counting the spoils...

The night before, the highschool had put on a Trunk or Treat that turned into door to door classroom trick or treat because of the cold and rain (yay!). It was awesome... you could tell that the highschoolers were having as much fun as the little ones. They had the tables all decked out in different themes. Here, the art students offered face painting (pretty good too!) and amazingly, two of our girls participated...a first! As you can see below, I think they got as much candy from that as they did on the actual night!

I had to include this cute shot I got this past week at "nastics" in a nasal tone. (Aurie calls gymnastics). This is her "ta da"that they do when 'finishing'...jumping off of something, etc. All the girls participate at their own level at the same time on Monday nights. Aurie just melts me to watch her- following the 'teacher's' directions and "marching"(pumping her little arms in an exaggerated way that makes it look like she thinks marching is all about the pumping arms...way cute!) and is getting pretty good at some things like gallops and beam.
