Yes, Halloween...just around the corner and these princesses and one ladybug are anxiously awaiting.
Seriously, could you not eat up those legs?!
So, same park, a month back, as promised, we (tried) to catch minnows in the creek...donned rainboots, brought buckets, etc. Hmmm...about 20 minutes into it, we were one minnow ahead ;)
We've been taking in all of autumn's splendor, noting beautiful changing trees on our usual routes (here, the library) and checking out apple festivals, taking walks in the woods and visiting (real!) pumpkin patches.
A little jumpy fun at an inflatable play center nearby... love the red faces :)
Our friend who grew up in Indiana thought it was funny how we marveled over the novelties at the Apple Festival, which are apparently quite the norm around here...a corn sandbox, a hay mountain and of course, the pumpkin patch (that was bigger than any I've seen in my life- I think Bill and I were more excited than the girls!) With just the right amount of chilliness, it was sooo perfect, and fun!
My dirty smudgy girl :)
Who sits quite proud here on the slide...getting brave, this one.
Out like lights after the zoo..
And then, there was our little jaunt up to Canada...what a nice start to Ellie's fall break from school. She just told me yesterday about how sad she was to say goodbye to Nana (that a tear was falling down her check, she tells me, when we were leaving) Awwww! We love you Nana! The girls were spoiled silly and loved every minute of it :) Me too!
It was so nice to spend the day with friends...
And had so much fun with Uncle Ryan when he came to visit! (Yes, Uncle Ryan is here, reading instructions and assembling cupcake fairies...who would have thought ;))
And of course we stuffed ourselves with Canadian goodies...Timbits, poutine, Harvey's hamburgers and how convenient...boxes of Halloween size Crispy Crunch, Wonderbar and Mr. Big!
Our first hailstorm in Indiana...it was none too exciting...we were so freaked out!
My proud creation- Pottery Barn knock off...from scratch
