The weather's been perfect and we've had a fun week so far enjoying the toy store, the park, the Museum, breakfast at McDonald's, and today, the pool!
Fast funnies...
Lia says this morning, sitting down for breakfast, eyeing the container of mini marshmallows left on the table from last nights after dinner treat, "mommy, if we put marshmallows on our waffles, they would look so yummy!" yeah, I bet! I had to laugh...
Ellie earned a "treat"after dinner one night, and I usually ask her what she had in mind, and she goes to explore the fridge and counter and comes back with the can of whipped cream. I squirted a rosette onto Aurie's hand (who was still in her booster seat) and after a small taste, immediately thrust out her other hand for another squirt...it was very cute :)
I melted with Aurie during our Museum visit...she was demanding kisses through the grate on a treehouse structure. Boy we're in trouble with that girl!
Later in the day after the Museum, we were telling daddy what we liked best about the Museum, and Lia says, "I liked the shopping the best"(afterwards at Marshall's!) That's my girl! ;)
And then, walking around a shopping area, we poked our heads into Vera Bradley, and I was telling the girls how Auntie Melly liked those purses, and Ellie comes out with, Ït smells like Nana in there." (I'm sure a good smell mom! :))
Lia's been adding "soaking"to everything lately..."I'm soaking hot""I'm soaking tired" It's hilarious...
And coolest of all...Ellie's reading! All of a sudden, its like you saw the light bulb go off and she's "got"it... we were very impressed one night to have her reading a book to us before bedtime!
