The Twirly Whirly Ball

 Last night, was the night... the Twirly Whirly Ball. Long awaited and anticipated by the princesses in our house :) The perfect chance to dress up and actually leave the house in our girlie attire. They had many princess activities, of which Ellie took advantage of all...crown, ring and wand making, nail polishing, tattoos (well, somewhat princess'y') and even horse and carriage riding (that was the big hit). Aurie and mommy spent the most time having fun on the dance floor :)

 Aurie crawled herself up onto this empty chair at the nail painting station and sooo wanted to join in the fun... after a failed attempt at "pretending"(she's no dummy!) we ended up trying one nail. 

(Yes, please note...that's two blog entries in less than one week :) I am proud :))

Aurie is the one melting us completely lately...good thing- it balances out the times when we find this or that bottle or tube of lotion, soap or toothpaste, opened up and squirted out all over the floor. Thank goodness too, for tile floors. She has developed so much from these videos a few weeks ago- words have come every day, still in adorable baby language, but very understandable- shoes, baby, Puff (the kitty), up, "peas"for please, down (to the kitties when they go up on the table), marshmallow (kind of garbled), mine, ball, "app" for apple, juice (pretty clear) and "guy"(for her stuffed animals).  We adore her lifted baby lips for "kisses" and laugh at her when she twirls around and around and her wand actions (which we don't know where that came from) as you can see in this video.
