Happy Birthday, my dear Lia

''Ok, this is a little weird...why is everyone singing?" Heehee! What a face! :)
Lia enjoyed a birthday weekend, this weekend, starting with a sweet celebration at her sitter's, and packages in the mail (our favorite! Thank you Auntie Jen!) and then a sleepover with our cousin Anevay.

It's ben a busy house, even more so than usual, since our garage sale. We've been preparing to bunk the girls together, and finally got the bed put together yesterday. Lia konked out in the morning on her new mattress while waiting :)
The girls just loved it, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. We'll post complete room pictures once it's all finished.

Water, Water, Everywhere!

As the temperatures climb, the girls are thrilled to be able to play in the water. When we had put out the little baby pool in the backyard the other day, we could hardly get them inside! Here, while mommy gets ready for our garage sale, they had fun in their snake sprinkler from Nana. I laughed when I put this top on Lia...she kept tugging it down to cover her belly! :)

There's a video below (for you , mom!) of another day like this one, in the backyard early morning, to search out Dookie, the neighbor's cat who comes walking on the wall.
Back at our favorite fountains, this this with a friend from Germany who was in town. There was a hockey game that night, and the place was busier than we'd ever seen. The girls even got to have a balloon made by a clown we saw, which was fun. They came equipped, of course, with pennies in their purses to throw.

And then, after many long days of preparation, the big day came for our garage sale yesterday. It was great! We set up the girls at the back of the garage with their little table and some activities. I was so impressed with daddy, who was in charge of them while I was the wheeler and dealer with the money. He prepared a breakfast buffet for them, and even dressed to match...wow. Did it ever wipe up out, though. We all had naps that afternoon!

They love to dance together...

Happy Easter!

Early Easter morning...the Easter bunny came!

There's nothing like marshmallows in the morning! :) (Lia was hardly interested in searching for eggs...she was quite satisfied with the two she had found, since she knew they had marshmallows inside!)

Our new Tinkerbell and kitty cat t-shirts!
The Easter bunny brought us a new game- Candyland for preschoolers...it's cute- and handy- Lia already can identify and say Triangle :)

We had such a wonderful afternoon, after having been invited to our nieghbor's family's luncheon. It was such a beautiful backdrop, it would have been difficult not to! We were on the lake in the Estrella mountain foothills, and even enjoyed all of the yummy food outside on patio in our lovely Easter weather. The girls loved playing with the other kids- Ellie espescially, with a little boy her age who taught her how to slam dunk! :) We headed over to a nearby park together afterwards, and the kids just wore themselves out. What a fun day, and we were grateful to be included. Thank you Nancy and Joel, and Brian and Colleen!

Daddy, enjoying a child-free moment... :)

A Fun Day

We took advantage of having daddy all to ourselves, and went the the girls' favorite "jumpy place"to show him all the things we could do, and then for lunch where they have fountains so they could throw pennies in (another favorite.) It was a beautiful day...
(Ellie the photographer, took this one)
Poor Lia had a mishap on the way into the jumpy place- she was so excited, she tripped over herself, and got a bomp on the forehead. :( The popsicle seemed to help :)
Gettin' pennies from daddy (in his new jersey).

Peek-a Boo!

Hear the Music?

Ellie likes to jive whenever she hears peppy music. She started to bop at the fountains where they have coordinated water spray with the music. I laugh at the little finger pointing she does :) Lia hasn't shown us much in the way of dancing, so these little wiggles were hilarious!

Ellie Shakin' It

This one is worth watching sideways... She has sugar crystal shakers in each hand and is dancin' away to her own music...my favorite move is the shake of the bum at the end! :)
